Ed’s Note: In an overcommunicated, intrusive world concerned about every specific group already here or about to immigrate here in the melting pot of these United States of America, we have outdone ourselves in managing to identify every flavor of group to separate them out and recognize their differences and beliefs rather than invite them in as new Americans on our soil, whether they are already citizens or not.
Apparently everyone here is now part of a specific group and cares more about all their specific issues and concerns instead of assimilating into our culture and becoming useful to the common good by becoming productive rather than occupying space and whining and complaining about everything they perceive to be wrong about America.
There is more opportunity here in America than any other country in the world, but some residents, legal or not, are so busy finding excuses to fail and someone to blame they will never really succeed. The working people, and their government, will end up supporting not just those who have genuine mental issues but also all of those who have issues of choice, as in drinking and drugging while being lazy, indolent and useless to everyone including themselves.
Eventually it may dawn on them that when you blame others, you give up your power to change.
In a nutshell, someone wrote this online in frustration:
To My Democratic and Republican Friends:
To All My Democratic Friends: Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice to not practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2020, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
To My Republican Friends: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
